Ingredients of Teh Tarik Agar-Agar

  1. Prepare 450 ml of water.
  2. It's 2 tbsp of tea of your choice (I use black tea).
  3. It's 3-4 tbsp of condensed milk.
  4. It's 7 g of agar-agar powder (plain).

Teh Tarik Agar-Agar step by step

  1. Boil water. Steep the tea as you usually do..
  2. Put the condensed milk into the empty pan/cup. Pour the steeped tea. Stir a bit to make sure that the condensed milk is mixed well. Pour back into the other container (pan/cup), or you call it "tarik". Do this 4-5 times..
  3. Strain the tea if you use loose tea. Pour your powdered agar into the tea and mix inside your pan (hence I suggest a pan without handle). boil the tea again until the agar is dissolved and mixed well. Cool..
  4. After about an hour or two in room temperature, you can put the agar into your fridge, and wait for 2 hours or more until it sets..
  5. You can eat them as they are, eat them with condensed milk on top, do a Teh Tarik-ception by putting cubed agar into teh tarik..
